PM Club is SJSU's home for students who want to understand how great products are built — and land the roles that build them. Whether you're in engineering, business, design, or something completely different, you belong here.
A Product Manager (PM) is the person who answers the question: "What should we build, and why?"
A PM sits at the intersection of technology, business, and design. They understand users deeply, set strategy, and work with engineers and designers to ship products that people actually love.
PMs are some of the most sought-after roles in tech. Companies like Google, Apple, Meta, and thousands of startups in Silicon Valley are always looking for great PMs, and SJSU sits right in the middle of all of it.
You don't need a specific major to become a PM. The field rewards curiosity, communication, and the ability to think about problems from multiple angles — skills you're building right now, no matter what you study.
PM Club is career-first, but still community-driven. We built it specifically for the gap between what SJSU classes teach and what tech companies actually want.
We teach frameworks PMs use at Google, Meta, and top startups — user story mapping, PRDs, roadmapping, and more. Stuff that comes up in interviews and on the job.
CS, Business, Psychology, Engineering, Communications, Biology — we've seen it all. Great PMs come from everywhere. Your background is an asset, not a blocker.
